GRANT ROBBINS Couple Take Wedding Vows In Logan Temple The home of Mr. and Mrs. A. O. Thorn provided a perfect setting for the lovely wedding reception held recently to honor Mr. and Mrs. J. Grant Robbins. The couple ex- changed wedding vows in the Lo-. gan Temple "on May 26 and the reception re-ception was held the following evening. The bride, formerly Miss Evelyn Reed, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Reed, chose traditional white satin for her wedding gown. It was of original design with an overskirt of airline. Her veil also of airline, was fashioned to a crown of beads and rhinestones. She carried car-ried a lovely bouquet of Vanda orchids. or-chids. Miss Mollie Young of Provo, attired at-tired in gold, was maid of honor while the Mesdames Marilyn Reed, Marjorie Reed and Josephine Ekker and Margaret Beck, wearing wear-ing pastel blue formals, were the bridesmaids. Their corsages were in corresponding colors. Tom Jtob-bins Jtob-bins of Salt Lake City, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. Others in the receiving line included, in-cluded, Mrs. A. M. Robbins of Salt Lake City, mother of the bridegroom, bride-groom, and the parents of the bride. Mrs. Robbins wore black and Mrs. Reed was attired in coral. cor-al. Each wore rosebud corsages. Mr. and Mrs. A. O. Thorn were acting host and hostess. During the evening, string music was furnished by a quartet composed of Mrs. Eileen Bird, Mrs. Thora Johnson, Mrs. Inez Jessee, Mrs. Carol Condie and Mrs. Marjorie Mar-jorie Bird. Also the Beta Sigma Phi girls sang their traditional "Sweetheart Song." In charge of the gift room were Miss Alice Reed, who came from Colorado for the occasion; Mrs. Tom Robbins and Mrs. David England. Eng-land. Refreshments were under the direction of Mrs. Maude Ogden of Salt Lake City, Mrs. DeanRas-mussen DeanRas-mussen and Mrs. Emily Jensen of Provo, assisted by Joan Ogden and Mrs. Sherman Garrett of Salt Lake City and Miss Dona Jensen of Provo. Following their wedding in the Logan Temple, the couple were honored with a dinner given at the Juniper Lodge in Logan canyon for members of the wedding party including both families and close friends who witnessed the ceremony. cere-mony. A toast to the couple was given at the time by David England, Eng-land, a brother-in-law. The evening of their marriage, the couple were also complimented with an open house reception given giv-en at the England home in Logan for a large number of relatives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Robbins have returned re-turned from a few days' honeymoon honey-moon spent in the northern part of the state and will be at home in Brookside in the very near fu- ture. |
