Show Official Makes Award For Excellent Service Central Utak Motor Company was honored last week when C. K. Whitaker, president, and A. T. 'Hodge, manager, man-ager, San Francisco division oF Studebaker Pacific Corpora- Stion visited Provo and awarded R. E. Packard the 1948 Certificate of Merit. Mr. Packard, president of Central Cen-tral Utah Motor Company, received re-ceived the certificate which testifies testi-fies that his service department meets the basic standards of the Studebaker Corporotion. At any time his repair services fall below these standards, the certificate is subject to withdrawal. With "Certificate "Cer-tificate of Merit" inscribed across the top over the Studebaker service serv-ice insignia, it indicates that the equipment and personnel were examined ex-amined by Studebaker representatives representa-tives and found to meet certificate requirements courteous, prompt and efficient. Central Utah Motor Company offers Utah county's only authorized author-ized Studebaker repair service. The firm is housed in a modern tw-floor building at 410 South University Avenue. Its service department, de-partment, on the first floor, contains con-tains the latest auto repair equipment; equip-ment; a parts department which supplies dealers with genuine factory fac-tory repair parts; and a washing and - polishing- department. The spacious room is 82 feet long, 65 feet wide and has four 16-feet-high overhead doors. R. O. T. C. SELECTEES The Department of the Navy has announced that it has selected 276 enlisted men from the Navy and Marine Corps for admission to the Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps at the coming fall college semester. The group was chosen from among the 24,117 enlisted en-listed personnel who completed the Navy's aptitude tests on the '' program. The selectees will be assigned to 52 colleges, where units of the Corps have been set up, each man receiving four years of college education at Government Govern-ment expense and later a commission. |
