Show One hundred and five women,' members of the Springville camps of DUP, joined with some 600 other members -throughout the county, to celebrate the birthday of Brigham Young, in Salt Lake Qty Saturday. Community singing sing-ing and other program numbers, including a talk by Edith Booth of Provo, at the "This Is the Place Monument" in the forenoon, followed fol-lowed by a visit to the zoo and later lunch at the park, featured the entertainment. Also, the group visited the Old Mill at the park and viewed the pioneer relics. Mrs. Kate Carter was a speaker during the afternoon. ' Mr. and Mrs. D. F. Obie and daughter Susan, of Roswell N. M., spent two days of the past week with Mrs. Obie's father, Lavell Ostler and other relatives and friends. They were enroute to Portland, Calif., to visit Mr. Obie's family. |
