Show Bountiful By BERTHA L. MUIR 295-3742 Mr. and Mrs. Thomas White entertained at dinner at their home in Ogden Tuesday for Mrs. Florence Mercer of Bountiful, Mr. and Mrs. Kaye Mercer of Provo and Dick Mercer of England. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Mercer are both retired school teachers now making their home in Hale Crest, England. Mr. and Mrs. Kaye Mercer of Provo entertained at a luncheon last Monday honoring honor-ing Dick Mercer who has been visiting family members in Utah prior to returning home. Dick has been a guest of his mother, Mrs. Florence Mercer for the past few weeks. Florence was also a guest at the luncheon. Mrs. Ruby Layton, Mrs. Louise Hale and Mrs. Dolores Carraher were dinner guests of Mrs. Bertha Muir Saturday evening. Bridge was enjoyed following dinner. Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Terry entertained at Saturday evening even-ing dinner at their new home in Farmington. Those attending attend-ing were Mr. and Mrs. Robert Keddington, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Smith, Mr. and Mrs. Dee Sanders and Dr. and Mrs. Wallace E. Hess. The Bountiful League of Women Voters met last Wednesday Wed-nesday in the Community Church parlor. They discussed dis-cussed program planning on state and local levels. The group prepared the state program for 1979 and 1980 and discussed local unit plans. For information on membership mem-bership in the league, call Mrs. Karen Ed-son 292-7140. John Medina of Layton and Bruce McFarland of Farmington Far-mington are new members of the Davis County Housing Authority. They were sworn into office by Davis County Clerk Rodney Walker. The Bay View Literary Club will meet at the home of Mrs. Margaret Dunn in Salt Lake City on Wednesdqy, Jan. 24. The lesson will be given by Mrs. Mirra Bird. This is the first club meeting of the new year. Luncheon will be served at 1 p.m. |
