Show Glen Moss Dies At Age 80 P -1 i GLEN W. MOSS Glen Whitaker Moss, 80, died Jan. 19, 1979, in the ' Bountiful hospital of complications following an accident. Mr. Moss was born Feb. 28, 1898, the last of ten children, to Daniel and Mel-vina Mel-vina Rushton Moss at their home in Woods Cross, Utah. HE MARRIED Elgie Viola I Smith, April 21, 1920, in the 7 Salt Lake Temple and left J that same day for the Western , States Mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Alter his return from the mission he and his wife managed the Moss farm and a fi trucking business for several Is years. ft Mr. Moss became a trained rc- machinist, and accepted his a first employment in this field in Casper, Wyo. Later he served as machinist and in-:i in-:i strument maker at the in Remington Arms Plant in li Salt Lake City and for E. I. e DuPont Co. and General M Electric Co. in Hanford, Wash. For five years before his retirement he worked with a group of G. E. engineers on experimental projects at I Hanford. HE HAS been active in the church all his life, serving as elders quorum president in Bountiful stake, bishop's 4 counselor in Richland, Wash. a First Ward, high councilman " in the Richland Stake, as a temple worker in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, and as a member of the High Priests group leadership in the Bountiful 38th Ward. Mr. Moss was also a skilled craftsman. in mechanics, electronics and wood working, such as cabinet and furniture making. 5 SURVIVING ARE his wife, one brother Elmer H. Moss of Woods Cross, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 23, in the Bountiful Fifth Ward Chapel with Bishop Alvin Noker officiating. of-ficiating. INTERMENT was in the Bountiful Memorial Park. |
