Show , City Briefs. . ' Word was received yesterday from the Chief of Police of Los Angeles that Fred Crossman was under arrest. Crossnvan is wanted in Ogden on a charge of having forged the name of A L Fryer to a number num-ber of checks and obtaining money on them. Sheriff Bailey will leave next Friday Fri-day for California to bring the prisoner back. Prof. George Marshall of the University Univer-sity of Utah will deliver the fifth lecture of the series tonight at tho Weber Stake academy. John Hancock, arrested Monday night out on the cut-off work by Southern Pacific Pa-cific Officer Taggart, was yesterday ta-kent ta-kent to Brigham for trial on a charge of robbing a fellow laborer of some blankets.
