Show FORMER COUNCILMAN VICTIM OF SMALLPOX I A transient by the name of J. R Whiting Whit-ing was placed under quarantine at the isolation hospital today. The man called up Dr. Raley in the morning and complained of not feeling well. The doctor was not long In informing him that he had the smallpox and notified the city health authorities of the case. The patient, who is 30 years of age, has never been vaccinated. The eleven cases which were quaran-tinued quaran-tinued yesterday breaks all records and is evidence that the disease is rapidly spreading. The names of yesterday's victims are as follows: A. B. Margetts, aged 33; Alvin Howarth, aged 3; John Evans, aged 22: Charles Lunarzl, aged 26; Joseph Little wood, aged 58; Florence, Flor-ence, aged 18; Olive, aged 14; Alfred, aged 12; Clarence, aged 9; Rhea, aged 5, and Leo. aged 4 years. |
