Show BOOM IS ON IN BOISE Electric Line From Idaho Capital to Kampa Is Projected. W. R. Kivett, a wholesale lumber operator of Boise, who is registered at the Kenyon, said this morning that things are again beginning to hum at Boise and that activity in business this year will probably surpass anything in the history of that city. "The business done in Boise last year was something to be remarked about," he declared, "but from present indica- tions I think that the business that will be done this year will be much greater in volume. Last year we sold over 20.000,000 feet of lumber for building build-ing purposes. The greater part of it was used for the erection of dwellings to accommodate the large number of persons who flocked into the city. This year there will be a great deal of build-in;; build-in;; of a different character. There are a number of large manu-factoring manu-factoring enterprises being talked of and some of them will surely go through this year. I know of two large canning plants that are to be built and there will probably be one or two others. oth-ers. The street car company will greatly improve and extend itg service and is contemplating building an electric elec-tric car line from Boise to Nampa, a distance of twenty miles." |
