The . construction of sixty-eight miles of tho Lincoln highway and tho reconstruction recon-struction of forty-seven miles of this trans-stato route was authorized by tho Wyoming state highway commission commis-sion recently and contracts totaling $500,000 wero awarded and extensive work with state ofrces was authorized. Tho sixty-eight miles of construction construc-tion arc located In Carbon. Sweetwater Sweetwa-ter and Uinta counties, divided into twenty-one miles between Medlclno Bow and eight miles west of Old Carbon Car-bon In Carbon county; forty-threo .miles in one section in Sweetwater 'county between Thayer Junction and Red Desert; and four miles In the section sec-tion between Evanston and tho Utah lino in Uinta county, for which tho contracts total $172,000. Tho forty-seven mile section upon which reconstruction, consisting of grading and reshaping, was authorised is located in Laramie county and ex-. ex-. tends from that city to tho Nobraaka. line. This work will be dono with a twenty-ton Holt caterpillar tractor and throo graders.
