Leigh Sherman went to the police late Friday evening and at first claimed to have been slugged to unconsciousness, un-consciousness, loaded in a freight car B and shipped to Salt Lake. There he regained consciousness and after regaining re-gaining his strength to some dgree, sef out for Ogden, walking all the distance, dis-tance, according to his story. When questioned further by Detective Detec-tive Robert Burk, he admitted having met his sister-in-law and made arrangements ar-rangements to leave for Salt Lake. The two departed from Ogden on the 9:30 Eamborger, Leigh said, and upon arriving at Salt Lake went to a hotel overnight. They then rented furnished rooms and made arrangements to stay In Salt Lake for some time, he said. The girl said that prior to her divorce di-vorce she and her husband had lived at the elder Sherman's residence. She I says that Leigh told her he fell in love with her then, but no intimat ion of his affections were displayed until' about two months ago.
