Show Level Varies Nine Inches Within Few Hours; No Danger Expected Waters of the Ogden river arc rising ris-ing rapidly as a result of tho recent days of warmth which has melted, the snow lying in the lower hills, according accord-ing to C. H. Martin, superintendent of city streets and parks. The river reached tho high mark of 3 feet 9 Inches, but no danger of ovorflow is expected. Mr. Martin declared the river riv-er could yet rise nearlv three feet be fore overflow could possibly occur oven at the weakest points. Mr. Martin said tho height of the water has fluctuated greatly during tho past few days and within a few jhours has varied more than nine inches. At 11 o'clock at night the maximum is generally reached with the minimum coming at 11 o'clock in the morning. |
