Show Eighth Grader Reaps Praise for Basketball Potential When Mr. and Mrs. Phil Benson Ben-son returned from Henderson where they spent Chris'mas, a grandson, Ken Benson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Nate Benson, came up with them to visit for a few days. Young Benson, only an eighth grader in the Henderson school, has already gained a name for himself as a basketball prospect. In an i'em which appeared in a paper there, his coach had the following to say about the young boy who stands 6 feet one inch now: "He is definitely the best play-er play-er on the team, an excellent student and fine leader. Usually the high scorer, there is no doubt that he is a fine stabilizing stabiliz-ing influence on the team mem-, mem-, bers. He has a great deal to shoot for In his baske'ball career. He is a nephew of John Benson, BYU star, and has the most potential po-tential of any boy I've ever coached." |
