Show CSU Sponsors Special Farm Mechanics Class A farm mechanics class Is being be-ing set up at the College of Southern Utah for winter quarter to aid farmers in machinery repairs re-pairs and maintenance. Although the class is being sponsored by CSU, Wallace Sjo-blam, Sjo-blam, Iron County agricultural agent. Indicated that the extcn- sion Service Is Interested In having hav-ing farmers take advantage of the opportunities offered by the course. Course will begin on Jan. 3 and will continue for 11 weeks. Classes will be held from 1 to 4 p. m. daily Monday through Friday. Course will consist of a one-hour one-hour lecture- period three days of the week with the rest of the time devoted to repairing of the equipment. Lecturer for the class will be Prof. Eugene Hardy. Assistance As-sistance in repairing of the farmer's farm-er's own equipment will be given giv-en by Hardy and by Vic Davis of the trades and industry department. de-partment. Farmers who have machinery that needs welding, adjustments, or parts replacement can wotk In the modern well-equipped shop. In order for the course to be taught at least 10 persons must register. Those in'erested should register as a special student with Ward Robb. CSU registrar, and be at the shop at 1 p. m. Jan. 3. A $f registration fee will be j charged to cover the cost of the entire course. |
