Show ; Parowan to Celebrate Birthday With Special Program Preparations are well under way for the celebration of Parowan Paro-wan City's 107th bir'hday, Monday, Mon-day, Jan. 13, It is announced by officers of the Elizabeth and Paulina Camps of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers, who are In charge of the birthday observance. observ-ance. Three main even's have been announced to be a part of the celebration. The first of these will be a Pioneer meeting in the morning, the program for which is being prepared by the Parowan Paro-wan chapter of the Sons of Ut ih Pioneers of which Clair Rowley is president We haven't learned whether the usual noon picnic luncheon will be held but an afternoon program is scheduled and will be prepared and conducted by the Parowan Literary Club, with Fae N. Benson as chairman in charge of arrangements. In the evening at 8 the drama "San Juan Outpost," with a fine cast of characters, will be pre-sented pre-sented in the high school audi-'orium. audi-'orium. This play is being directed di-rected by Jean Hendrickson and in the cast are a number of veteran vet-eran actors of this city. This was the prize winning MIA play of 1956 and depie's pioneer life in the year 1883 in Bluff, San Juan County. The Monday evening presen'a-tion presen'a-tion Is for persons over 12 years of age onlv and admission will be by contribution, Mrs. Hendrickson Hen-drickson states.
