Show 1941 RECORD LOOMS ON S.L. CONVENTIONS New convention records probably prob-ably will be set In Salt Lake City In 1941, even though 1340 surpassed sur-passed all previous marks in the number of conventions, number of delegates and amount of money spent by delegates, Mrs. Winifred P. Ralls, manager of the convention conven-tion bureau of the chamber, of commerce, predicted Wednesday on the basis of advance convention conven-tion bookings. The bureau, one of 11 agencies supported by the Salt Ijike City activity fund, which In turn is supported sup-ported by subscriptions of business. Industrial and professional firms In the annual community development develop-ment drive, already has booked 97 conventions for 1941. nearly half as many as were booked during the entire season of 1940. Of the 1941 conventions, six are national gatherings, 29 are from the intermountain states and 62 state conventions. |
