Show Jack Christensen Named to Top Mining Post Mr. Jack E. Christensen was appointed Secretary-Manager Secretary-Manager of the Utah Mining Association, Salt Lake City, in a recent action of the Association's Board of Directors. Direc-tors. Mr. Christensen will succeed Paul S. Rattle, who has held the position since February 1968. Mr. Christensen Christen-sen has recently served as Executive Director for the Utah Association of Counties. A native of Salt Lake City, Utah, he attended Logan High School and the Utah State University. Military service during World War II included assignments in Germany with the Army of Occupation. Following military activities, he returned to Logan, where he assisted in the management of the family's shoe business until his appointment, ap-pointment, and later election, as Cache County Tax Assessor from 1955 to 1967. In 1967 Mr. Christensen moved to Salt Lake City and became the executive director of the Utah Association of Counties, a position he has held until the present. During his varied career he . has served as a member and officer of a very wide range of civic, social, professional and service organizations in Logan and Salt Lake City. Mr. Christensen resides in Salt Lake City with his wife, the former Joyce DeWitt of Logan. Mr. B. B. Smith, president of the Utah Mining Association, Associa-tion, stated that Mr. Christen-sen's Christen-sen's appointment is effective April 1st, and that after a familiarization period with the present manager, Paul S. Rattle, he will take over full responsibility of the position. Mr. Rattle will continue his relationship with the Association Associa-tion as a consultant. |
