Show .Qrcaffiis, Accidents Investigated By Police During the Week Moab Police investigated two brcakins and two accidents acci-dents during the past week. Investigated Feb. 26 was another breakin at Mill's Stop 'N Fat. It appeared that nothing was taken except some cigarettes, and the incident is still under investi-j;alion. investi-j;alion. A breakin al the Employment Employ-ment Security office was reported to police Monday morning. Sometime over the weekend a person or persons had broken the northeast corner window of the building, using it to gain entrance and exit. The desks had been gone through, however, the only thing discovered missing was a metal cash box containing about $3.75 in change. An accident occurred at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 24 when Mennel Stewart, driving a 1972 Toyota, Toyo-ta, ran into the left rear of a 1966 Oldsmobile belonging to Opal Davidson, which was parked in front of her home on Mill Creek Drive. Damage resulting to the Stewart vehicle was estimated at $489, and damage to the Davidson vehicle was estimated at $75. Stewart was cited for leaving the scene of an accident. On Feb. 25 at 5:15 p.m. Debra Reggan, driving a 1966 Chevrolet, failed to yield right of way at the intersection of Walnut Lane and 1st West, and struck a 1973 Ford pickup driven by Steve Dempsey. Damage to the Ford was estimated at $500 and damage to the Chevrolet at $250. Reggan was cited for failure to yield right of way, and Dempsey was cited for no Utah registration and no Utah drivers license. |
