The v-'lrls Have set up displays on just about Pewerything they are Involved In. Lots of n j-Mures, posters and Items that they have ov ,ade for use by handicapped children at the f. undwall Education Center are on display. -he Senior Troop has a display from their trip to Mexico and, In another case, there Is a scrapbook and also pictures of Girl Scout Troop 1, the first in Moab, started by Dorle Melich. It's fun to look at these old pictures and try to discover who they are of. Many of those pictured are still around town. Also on display are different awards that adults in our area have received. Pictured above with one of the displays Is Robin Henningson, Red Rocks Neighborhood chairman. a-JX L- . -- As most of you have realized by now Girl Scowls have been all over lown selling Girl Scout Cookies. Sales will continue thru March 8 and cookies will be delivered the week of April 3. Girls selling 76 boxes or more will receive a patch. Girls selling 150 boxes or more will receive a patch and a choice of a paid up registration fee for day camp or $5 credit on core camp or established camp or a Girl Scout Rucksack (great for camping, cycling, or just to carry books or?) Our annual product sale provides an opportunity for Girl Scouts to earn money for their , troop activities. Most troops use this money to go troop camping in the summer but many other activities can be held with cookie money. It helps our Council continue to increase its program and services, to offer camping activities to an ever larger number of girls and to improve and maintain our camps and purchase new equipment and facilities such as the new infirmary at Red Cliffe. Speaking of camping, that time is almost here again. Leaders, be sure and remind your girls that applications for camperships must be in the Salt Lake office by March 15. Applications received after this date will not be considered. consider-ed. Also new this year is an earlier registration date and registrations will be accepted alter Feb. 1 which is one monlh ago. If girls are going to camp next summer better get those registrations in right now! Afler April 1 non-Scouts and out of Council registrations registra-tions will be accepted. There is an error on page 10 of camping brochure--Water Ballet at Camp Red Cliffe, almost last line, dates should read Session is July 25 to Aug. 6. |
