Show Open House Drew Large Crowd Open house was held Sunday, Feb. 29, at the new Solarium addition to Allen Memorial Hospital with between be-tween 200 and 300 attending. At dedication ceremonies it was announced that the room would be named the Idamae Decker Solarium, honoring Mrs. Decker for her 17 years volunteer services at the hospital, pushing the book-cart, book-cart, delivering mail and newspapers to patients, and performing other small services ser-vices daily when she has been in town. The book cart project, originally undertaken by the WAIMME organization, became be-came Mrs. Decker's personal volunteer work, and the WAIMME members saw to it that a small cash fund at the hospital for disgressionary use was kept replenished. Also honored at the open house was Jen Pope, Woman's ; ?n '! Idamae Decker, center, was presented a Certificate of Appreciation by Hospital Board Chairman Adrien Taylor, right, as Jean Tarro, vice-chairman of the Volunteers at Allen Memorial Hospital, pinned on a corsage at open house and dedication of the Idamae Decker Solarium Sunday. Literary Club president, who spearheaded the Solarium fund drive, which raised nearly $17,000. The club sent letters to' hundreds of businesses busi-nesses and individuals explaining ex-plaining the need for funds for the Solarium and asking support of the project. In addition, many personal contacts con-tacts were made in the fund drive. Since the last reporting on donations, Beulah Caillet and Ina Young gave to the Solarium fund, and an anonymous anony-mous donation of $50 was made by an individual in the names of Dr. Munsey, the medical staff, nurses and all who were kind during a recent hospital stay.
