Show Lee Ray McAllister Will Sing Role in BAC Opera One of the largest casts ever assembled at Branch Agricultural college at Cedar City takes part in this year's production of the opera, "Faust." The cast numbers 75 members, and represents sixteen six-teen high schools in four states. Elegant costumes and stage settings set-tings add to the glamour of the performance, which will be a highlight high-light in Delta on Thursday, April 16. Prof. William H. Manning directs di-rects the production. The principal roles have been double cast to give more students experience. Faust is played by Martin Cox, Alamo, Nev., and by Robert Cook, Baker,' Ore. Co-cast with Lee Ray Mc Allister as Meph-istopheles Meph-istopheles is Rondo Manwaring, of Blackfoot, Idaho. Marguenta is sung by Emma Lou Warren and Norma Edwards of Cedar City, and Bonnie Stephenson of Holden. oR-ma oR-ma Fowler and Verna Van Buren, Provot are co-cast as Martha. For their Delta visit the cast will be guests in local homes for meals and overnight lodgings. They will play two performances, one at 1 p. m., a matinee, and the evening performance at 8 p.m. The. performance per-formance runs three hours. Lady Lions sponsor the Delta show, and the proceeds will go to the West Millard Hospital Ass'n. fund for the new hospital. Tickets are now on sale. Delta high school will assist with advertising, ushering ush-ering and marking tickets. Other Deltans in the cast are Le Roy Skidmore, co-cast with Reed Wagner. In the chorus are Carmen Rose, Dorothy Jeffery and Zoe Por ter. Dorothy Bishop plays with the orchestra. |
