Show Delta Third Ward Has Youth Award Program Sunday Sunday night the Youth Award program was held in Delta Third ward. Warren Henderson and M-Ward M-Ward Moody of Deseret stake pres idency were present, and also Mrs. Inez Moody and Mrs. Winona Dut-son, Dut-son, stake chairmen for the LDS Girls. The program opened with singing sing-ing by the Youth choir and prayer by Eileen Chamberlain. Luana Mc-Cullough Mc-Cullough gave a talk, and Peggy Ann Wright played a piano solo. A talk by Craig Mortensen was ' followed by a trumpet solo by Mark Harris. Another talk was that by Raymond Callister, and Iris Holman gave a whistling solo. Lloyd Schlappi, high councilman was speaker. Another musical num ber was a clarinet solo by Keith Mortensen. Accompanist for the musical numbers was Darlene Mc-Cullough. Mc-Cullough. Closing prayer was by Audrey Woodbury. Individual awards were given to 38 girls from an average enrollment enroll-ment of 58. The three age groups reecived group awards. Nine boys reecived individual awards with two boys having 98 percent attendance at-tendance at sacrament meeting. In order for the boys and girls to. receive an individual award, they have to attend 50 percent of their sacrament meetings, 75 of their Sunday schools, and 75 of their MIA meetings, give one public pub-lic address and take part in the church welfare program. In addition addi-tion to these the boys have to perform a required number of priesthood assignments. In order for a group to receive an award, 50 percent of the group have to receive individual awards. |
