Show Proves Ponil Is $4od Investment Mr. Willis Dutson of Oak City has the following to say about his overnight storage pond: "Since building a four acre foot overnight storage pond three years ago, I have been able to irrigae more than twice as much land with my low irrigation water. After Af-ter the pond is lined with clay to reduce seepage losses, I believe be-lieve that I'll be able to irrigate even more land with this small t..nn than T am Hninp- now. In addition, the crops are producing more, and, last but not least, I can get a good night's rest instead of staying up to nurse a small stream of water." Mr. Dutson is working closely with the Millard Soil Conservation District in carrying out a conservation conser-vation plan on his farm. Some of the practices included in this plan are: Leveling all of the irrigated land, building another storage reservoir, re-servoir, constructing .headgates, -- niantins; an irrigated pasture for his dairly herd. .,ir. Dutson was appointed by fie supervisors of Millard Soil Con servation District to act as their v-imunity representative for Lynn dyl, Leamington and Oak City.
