News AT HINCKLEY HIGH Fourteen members of the vocational voca-tional agriculture classes at Hinck ley high school attended Vocational Voca-tional Day; at the BAC in Cedar City last Friday, participating in the various stock judging contests. Cloyd Theobald, Deseret, placed second high individual in the judging jud-ging of livestock. The poultry judging and livestock live-stock judging teams each placed fourth in their respective contests. Members participating included Cloyd Theobald, Myron Taylor, Daryl Cropper, Hal Young, Gordon Gor-don Dewsnup, Don Morris, Sheldon Sheld-on Christensen, Gerald Damron, Lowry Bishop, Neil Swensen, Dale Carling, Neil Taylor, Louis Tullis and Harold Hepworth. Twenty-three projects from the industrial arts department of the Hinckley high school were placed on exhibit at the meet. Sheldon Christensen, Deseret, has been elected president of the Hinckley chapter, FFA, for the year 1950 - 1951. Other officers elected were Ronald Nielson, vice president; Daryl Cropper, secretary; secre-tary; Don Morris, treasurer; Gerald Ger-ald Damron, reporter; Arnold Petersen, Pet-ersen, sentinel. Sheldon Christensen and Gordon Dewsnup will represent the Hinckley Hinck-ley chapter at the state convention conven-tion to be held at Hotel Newhouse in Salt Lake City March 31 and April 1. Joe Young of Abraham, will attend the convention as a state farmer candidate. |
