Show Our mining interests in this part appears ap-pears to be progressing slowly. The class of ore being extracted is claimed to be as good as at any time in the past. The mill is expected to start up as soon as there is a sufficient supply of water to furnish the necessary power. While we claim our town to be one of the healthiest in the state, yet we are having much sickness at present. Bad colds, accompanied by fever, appears ap-pears to have visited almost every family, and in some families there is hardly enough well to take care of the sick. Our prospective water supply for the coining season is. at p resent, not very flattering. The recent storm favored us. as the greater part of it .seems to have fallen south of Kanarra. The Pine Valley mountain appears to have been particularly favored with the while mantle, and the country above the Black ridge, and at !ea-t as far south as Leeds, lias received a good wet ting. n. m.
