OCR Text	Show An Aired Inventor. Though now over 75 years of aga Lord Kelvin, Glasgow, continues to add to his many wonderful and useful use-ful inventions. He has just patented an Improved device for making soundings sound-ings at sea. He Is the author of a number of useful instruments among them the slphoon recorded for registering regis-tering cable messages, the quadrant electrometer, etc. and yet his life-work life-work has been philosophical rather than mechanical, and has related mainly main-ly to the theories that underlie physl-ial physl-ial phenomena.
