Show . w PIXTO. The season thus far is very cold and dry, and the stock men feel rather blue. Mrs, B. F. Knell has gone to Cedar City to spend a few weeks; we trust she will have a pleasant visit, An old friend, E. P. Thornton, came to town at the close of the holidays, looking as hearty as ever. Fred Hammon, Rob Plat, Lydia Knell and Olive Knell, the committee for the holidays just past, were a full team, and provided amusements for young and old. During the festive season a toe party caused lots of fun. It was very amuse-to amuse-to see some of the young men trying to pick his best girl out by the toe of her shoe, which poked out from under a curtain. Hon. Joseph E. Robinson, representative represen-tative from Kane county, on his way to Salt Lake City spent the holidays with us. We enjoyed his visit, and he seemed seem-ed to appreciate a game of ball as well as when he used to live with us. Our esteemed brother and friend Joseph Eldredge has been very sick for the past three or four weeks, but is some better today although very weak. Dr. Middleton of Cedar City attended him yesterday and pronounced his sickness sick-ness the result of a weak stomach. The Dr. gave hopes of a speedy recovery. No.T, Pin-o. Utah, January 11, l.!i!. |
