I A Murderous Assault John Riley a D R G section hand committed a murderous assault upon Ed Wilson a fellow workman near the Rio Grand depot yesterday evening Riley assaulted Wilson with a pocket knife and stabbed him twice in the neck but the injuries were not of a very serious nature Wilson was taken to Dr Benedicts office and his wounds attended by Mrs Dr Pratt Both men were drunk at the time and Riley professed entire ignorance ignor-ance of the affair this morning It was probably nothing more than a drunken quarrel The examination was set for 2 oclock this afternoon before Justice Speirs
