With an assembly, the long await' d j eighth grade dance, and f'i' i those on the paper staff, the deadline for articles to come in. Of course the students didn't mind the shortness of the week, but then the teachers seemed to think that even though there was a loss of two days in the week, we still ought to be able to complete a whole week's work anyway. Oh well, we're out now! " On Wednesday we had a fine Thanksgiving program. After our principal, MR. ARBOGAST, and the school's fine president. RONALD KELCH had spoken a few words, the bulk of the time was turned over to MTSS MORRIS, MOR-RIS, our attractive seventh grade music teacher. The Sev- enth Grade Glee Club undei Miss Morris' direction sang a few musical numbers very excellently. ex-cellently. It was a fine assembly as-sembly and I'm sure the students stu-dents all enjoyed the program. , At the Latin Club meeting last Thursday, some very exciting excit-ing elections were held. RICHARD RICH-ARD TAYLOR, our president handled the elections very well:, after which our secretary, BETTY BERNTSON read the club's constitution. The students stu-dents elected to some of the Latin Club offices for the year are: DICK DENKEMA and MALCOLM PIKE as ushers MARILYN RUDY, DONNA MARY HATCH, and MARILYN PRICE, a very pretty threesome three-some was chosen as the cheerleaders cheer-leaders for this year: JANICE KEN WARD and CAROL PETERSON PE-TERSON will act as the club's reporters. Congratulations students! stu-dents! I Tuesday after school the eighth graders had their fun at Eighth Grade Sadie Hawkin's Day Dance. The dance was held in the Boys Gym just after school let out. Most of the eighth grade students were there, including BRAD SMITH, who. when I looked in, was dancing with JOYCE MILLER. BOB ANDERSON had MAR-LENE MAR-LENE SHOBERT for a partner. According to the eighth graders the dance was a huge success. |
