Show Livestock Show The Altamont Junior Livestock Live-stock Show was held at the Altamont Rodeo Grounds Friday, Fri-day, May 14. There was not a very large crowd, and very few showed stock. Those from Altonah taking cattle were Bob Reay, Bob Allred and Gilbert Beebe. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Smith returned home last week after visiting several days with their daughter and son-in-law. Mr. and Mrs. Arvil Stone and family fam-ily in Salt Lake City. FASHION REVIEW A large crowd of ladies and girls attended the fashion show at Altamont High School, Wednesday Wed-nesday afternoon. The girls from high school showed the clothing they had made during the year. Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Beebe went to Ogden Wednesday evening eve-ning to visit their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Carl J. Searle. They also picked up a registered Aberdeen Angus bull which Mr. Beebe had purchased pur-chased from O. V. Battles, of Los Olivos, Calif, which came as far as Ogden by train. Mrs. Elva Snyder, Altonah postmaster, attended the post office convention in Salt Lake City last week. Mrs. Lucy Jac-obson Jac-obson is taking care of the post office during her absence. The sidehill on Class C canal broke near northwest of Ed Ol-sen's Ol-sen's farm May 13. Floid Hart-man, Hart-man, of Mt. Emmons, with his Caterpillar fixed the break. |
