Show Harrison Home Scene Of tmmml Senior Tea Union High School senior girls were complimented at a beautifully appointed tea Monday Mon-day evening at the Howard Harrison residence, given by the Roosevelt Business and Professional Pro-fessional Women's Club. Approximately eighty - five guests calling between the designated des-ignated hours of 7:00 and 9:30 p.m. were welcomed by Mrs. Myrtle Lambert and Mrs. Norman Nor-man Murphy. In the receiving line were Mrs. L. F. Hutchings, out-going president; Mrs. Harvey Har-vey Riggle, new president; Mrs. Lawrell Jensen, vice-president; and Mrs. Parley Rawlings, district dis-trict chairman. Vocal selections were sung by Mrs. Fran Harrison, accompanied accom-panied by Mrs. David Watkins. A male quartet, consisting of Craig Hutchings, Allan Gines, Crarles Daniels and David Kel-sey, Kel-sey, accompanied by Miss Gwen-nita Gwen-nita Curry, sang several numbers, num-bers, and vocal solos were presented pre-sented by Miss Esther Wogec, accompanied by Mrs. Bennie Schmiett, who also played continuous con-tinuous music throughout the evening. In the dining room where the guests were served the tea table was covered with an Ap-penzelle Ap-penzelle cloth and centered with an attractive arrangement of pink gladioli and pale pink carnations car-nations in a crystal bowl. At either side were crystal candle-abra candle-abra holding pale pink lighted tapers. Mrs. C. L. Ashton was in charge of the dining room. Presiding at the tea table at intervals were Mrs. Jesse Allen, Mrs. Homer P. Edwards, Mrs. J. O. Orser and Mrs. Sadie Blank. Serving were Miss Bette Eldrege, Mrs. Orvil Rudy, Mrs. Lon Logan and Mrs. Cliff Memmott. Mem-mott. Mrs. Vola Hancock and Mrs. Paul Murphy assisted the general gen-eral committee with arrangements arrange-ments and Mrs. Eugene Harm-ton Harm-ton was in charge of the kitchen. Each Senior girl was presented pre-sented with a personalized favor, fa-vor, "A Passport to the Future" inscribed in gold. |
