Show Randlett By Mrs. Viola Jensen Primary Groups Honor Mothers The Seagull and Bluebird classes entertained their mothers moth-ers at a Mother's Day party Tuesday at Primary. The following fol-lowing program was presented: song, Bonnie Peay, Sybil Turner and Deanna Durfee; poem, by Janet Durfee; the Seagull group san, "It is No Secret;'' piano solo. "My Happiness," by Carolyn Car-olyn Stoddard. The Seagull girls served cup cakes and chocolate milk. Each girl presented her mother with a plant and a handkerchief with her class emblem on it. Mrs. Gladys Jarman has been working at the Avalon school for the past week. The Relief Society held their work meeting Tuesday. The ladies learned to make artificial flowers. Mr. and Mrs. Duane Wall spent Mother's Day visiting at the Henry Wall home. The Avalon ward M.I.A. danced the Mexican Hat dance Wednesday evening at the Roosevelt Roos-evelt stake dance festival. Visitors at the Avalon school, Thursday were: Ouray McCook, Roy Adams and Miss Beatrice Stringham. Bill Young, of Vernal, visited Friday at the home of his sister, Mrs. Ward Jarman. |
