They were accompanied from Pasco, Wash, by Mrs. Pearl Swain, who had spent three weeks there with the Ron Pages. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Tom, of Moccasin, Arizona, surprised Mr. and Mrs. D. M. Wilkerson Wednesday morning when they i arrived for a visit. Mr. Tom is 1 employed in the SCS at Fort Duchesne at the present time. Mr. and Mrs. Arvin Bellon and daughter left last week for Kanab, where Mr. Bellon is attending at-tending a postmasters' convention. conven-tion. Mr. and Mrs. J. V. McLea returned re-turned Tuesday from Glendale, Calif., where they- visited several sever-al weeks with their son, Varney, and family. Kenneth Aycock, Republican county chairman, Howard Harrison, Har-rison, Dr. Paul Stringham and Pearl McConkie attended the state Republican Convention in Salt Lake City last Saturday. The T. A. Sullivan home was a happy household last week- j end when all their children were at home together. Miss Rhea Sullivan and her roommate, room-mate, Ann Tobin, who are attending at-tending the BYU were here, and also Arden Sullivan and a friend, Delores Ruthledge, of Lehi. Mr. and Mrs. Dwain Buchanan Buchan-an and twins, Jack and Jill, enjoyed en-joyed the Mother's Day weekend week-end in Salina with Mrs. Buchanan's Bu-chanan's mother, Mrs. Bertha Herbert. Mr. and Mrs. Jay Turner and son spent last weekend visiting at the home of Mrs. Turner's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Richman. Jay has just been discharged dis-charged from the Navy, and he and his wife will make their home in Salt Lake City. i Mr. and Mrs. Joe Reidhead and daughter, Pat, accompanied by Miss Gay Patry, were Salt Lake City visitors last Saturday. Satur-day. Houseguests at the Howard I Harrison home last weekend ; were Mr. and Mrs. George Harrison, Har-rison, of Salt Lake City. Miss Maxine Hurley, who is now employed in Salt Lake City spent the weekend with, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Emer-son Emer-son Hurley. Mayor and Mrs. Paul Murphy 'were Salt Lake City visitors last Saturday. Mr and Mrs. Fred Riding and family were visitors in Utah County last weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Wesley R. Dickerson Dick-erson were Provo and Salt Lake City visitors Tuesday. They attended at-tended funeral services of a relative in Pleasant Grove. Eva and Essie Sprouse, who are working in Salt Lake City, spent Mother's Day with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Sprouse. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Summers are moving from Roosevelt to make their home in Fort Duchesne. Du-chesne. They will be greatly missed by their many friends here, but we're sure we win still see them often. Mrs. Carroll Robbins, of Salt Lake City, arrived last week to visit in Roosevelt, and is a guest at the Dick Scholes' home. - Visiting at the Neldon Ny-berg Ny-berg residence at intervals during dur-ing the past month have been Mr. and Mrs. Louis Geer, of San Francisco; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Daly and son, William Edstrom, of Salt Lake City; Miss Edna Boyle, of Provo, and Mrs. A. J. Bascom, of Oakland. The ladies are all sisters of Mrs. Nyberg, who is recuperating at home following a major stomach stom-ach operation, performed at the LDS Hospital in Salt Lake. Arvid Fredrickson, who is working in Tremonton, spent Mother's Day weekend at home with his family. Mr. and Mrs. Louie Laris, ac- companied by Mrs. LaRue Laris, were Salt Lake City visitors Monday. Hale Holgate is in the Roosevelt Roose-velt Hospital, where he underwent under-went an operation Monday morning. Mr. and Mrs. Duane Hacking and children arrived from Salt Lake City last weekend to spend Mother's Day with his mother, Mrs. J. C. Hacking. Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Timothy Timo-thy and son, Randy, of Salt Lake City, spent Mother's Day with Vernon's parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. V. Timothy. "Robyn" is the name of the new baby daughter of the La-Vere La-Vere Labrums. The dainty little Miss made entrance into the world May 2, weighing 7 lbs., 14 oz. The Labrums seem to know how to order them, or else it's their lucky season. No wonder they are walking on air their first girl, who' was anxiously greeted by. her two brothers, Richard and Michael. Proud grandmothers are Mrs. Erma Labrum, of Currant Creek, and Mrs. Betty Jackson, of Phoenix, Arizona, who is here caring for the new arrival. |
