Show Mrs. Elsie Bird Sunday Program A very interesting program was given Sunday in Sacrament meeting commemorating the Restoration of the Aaronic Priesthood, as follows: cornet and piano solos, by Elenor Cap-son Cap-son and Marsha Lusty; talks by Larry Ross, Rulon Gilbert, Leon Ross and Bishop Garn Gilbert. The Relief Society held their monthly work meeting Tuesday at the ward house. One crib quilt was made. Mr. and Mrs. Scott Lusty and family made a business trip to Heber City, Saturday. Mrs. Ida Horrocks left Tuesday Tues-day for Kanab to attend a postmasters' post-masters' convention. She returned re-turned home Saturday. Hale Holgate returned home Saturday, from the Roosevelt Hospital, where he underwent an operation. He is able to be up and around. Visitors Saturday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Hale Holgate were Supt. and Mrs. Dean Christensen and family, of Duchesne. Du-chesne. Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Bird are enjoying a few days visit with their grandsons, Melvin, Jr. and Dennis Bird, while their mother is in Texas. Mr. and Mrs. Ward Evans and family, of Vernal, and Mr. and Mrs. Garn Gilbert visited Sunday Sun-day at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Chad Evans. Forest Evans has been staying with his brother, Chad, helping while Hale Holgate was in the hospital. hos-pital. Those graduating from Seminary Sem-inary Sunday night at Roosevelt, Roose-velt, were: Rulon Gilbert, Kent Jensen and Gwen Holgate Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Gledhill, of Huntsville and Mr. and Mrs. LaNar Richens, of Eden, visited Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Scott Lusty. They also attended at-tended church while they were here. Mr. and Mrs. Cliff McKenna and family visited Sunday with Mrs. McKenna's father, Henry Richens and other relatives. Mrs. McKenna and Maurine attended at-tended Sunday School. Mrs. Clair Duncan and children chil-dren spent Friday at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Bird. Mrs. Darlene Packman, of Salt Lake City, visited a few days with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Horace Chatwin. Visitors during the week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Marion Mar-ion Ross were Mr. and Mrs. Loryn Ross, of Pleasant Valley, and Mr. and Mrs. Norman Labrum Lab-rum and family, of Roosevelt. |
