Show lllh BIRTHDAY Mrs. Jack Liddell entertained Thursday, honoring her daughter, daugh-ter, Karren, on her 11th birthday birth-day anniversary. Games and delicious de-licious lunch were enjoyed by eighteen little friends. Honor came to two Bridge-land Bridge-land girls when Mona Dee Liddell, Lid-dell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elden Liddell, was chosen from the senior class of the Duchesne High School as valedictorian. She is the only honor student from her class and will deliver the valedictorian address at the graduation Tuesday evening. Maxine Murphy, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Earvin Murphy, will be one of the five students to graduate with honors at Union Un-ion on May 21st. Both girls are granddaughters of Mrs. Jane Murphy. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Van Tassell Tas-sell went to Colorado the first of the week to bring Mrs. Van Tassell's father, John Marchant, home, after he had completed a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter - day Saints. . Mrs. Guy Taylor and Mrs. James Felter were Monday visitors vis-itors of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Clay-burn. oiia. ui t. . . .uu..M were Friday overnight guests of their aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Thomas at Tabiona. LaRene Meyer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Meyer, Sr., graduated from Union Seminary Semin-ary Sunday evening at the Roosevelt Roos-evelt stake house. A special four-year certificate was awarded award-ed to' Gerald Murphy, ; son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Murphy. Glen Van Tassell motored to Salt Lake City on Thursday. He was accompanied by his daughter, daugh-ter, Joan and JaNae Liddell. Those from Bridgeland graduating grad-uating from Duchesne High School Tuesday, May 18, are: Carol Ann Brady and Mona Dee Liddell. Graduates from Union High on Friday, May 21st, are: Gerald Ger-ald Murphy, Maxine Murphy, J o a n n Shepherd and Joe Shields. A large group of Bridgeland ladies attended the special meeting meet-ing of the Farmerette Club at Arcadia Monday evening. Mrs. Alma Smith attended the classes at .Altamont last week on patterns and dress fittings, fit-tings, presented by Miss Miller, of the U.S.A.C. |
