Show ALTALIONT By Lorraine Dastrup Altamont Hosts R. E. Conference Altamont was the scene of much activity Friday, when the High School played host to the many people who attended the Rural Education meet. The activities began Thursday evening with a dinner in honor of guest speakers and committee members. The dinner took place at the high school and was under un-der the direction of Mrs. Eliza J. Nielson, head of the Home Economics department at Altamont. Alta-mont. Mr. and Mrs. Vern Titcomb were dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Swallow on Monday. Word was received here last week by Mr. and Mrs. Faye Reay that Charles Bunnion had died at Salt Lake City. Mr. Bunnion was Mrs. Reay's father. fath-er. Mr. and Mrs. Claude Iorg, of Upalco, were dinner .guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Her-shel Her-shel Iorg, Wednesday night. Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Swallow were in Provo last weekend. While there, they attended the BYU vs New Mexico basketball game. Mr. and Mrs. Marion Iorg and baby, of Salt Lake, visited here Tuesday and Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Stanley, Roy Store and Kent Powell were visitors during the week at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Hanberg. Mr. and Mrs. Quentin Kolb and family, of Salt Lake, visited at the Jewell Kolb home, Wednesday Wed-nesday and Thursday. Walter E. Atwood, of California, Califor-nia, visited at the home of Mrs. I Ty Kolb Saturday afternoon. Mr. Atwood is Mrs. Kolb's father. - Mr. and Mrs. Elroy Boberg, of Draper, were Sunday after- . 1 noon guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ross Berrett. Mrs. Hershel Iorg and daughter, daugh-ter, Glenna, visited ' with Mrs. Hardy Perkins, Mrs. Ned Mit-; Mit-; chell and Mrs. Leon Dump, Sunday; Sun-day; The children and grandchildren grandchil-dren of Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Hansen spent Sunday afternoon ot the Hansen home. The occasion occa-sion was Mrs. Hansen's birthday. birth-day. Mr. and Mrs. George Berrett visited friends and relatives at Rangely last week. Mr. and Mrs. France Nielson went to Salt Lake City. Saturday Satur-day to meet Mrs. Nielson's son, who is returning home from the armed forces. Mr. and Mrs. Kirk Merkeley were visiting relative's in Altamont Alta-mont last week. |
