Show BPW Club Meets At Union High School Monday Termed as one of the most : enjoyable meetings of the year ; was the dinner meeting held for Roosevelt BPW members Mon- , day evening at the Union High i j School. Co-hostesses included Myrtle Lambert, Ruth Allen and ' Lurrine Miles. I Places were marked for the I guests by cleverly designed , placecards with an Easter chick, i and further suggesting the Eas-i Eas-i ter motif was the centerpiece of dwarf iris and heather. A delicious chicken dinner was served at the U-shaped table, by students of Mrs. Lambert's Lam-bert's Home Economics Class, after which the group progress- ed to the library, where Blanche I Murphy, president, took charge of the business meeting. Hazel Ashton was appointed to write the aims and history of the BPW club for the local paper. Musical numbers were furnished fur-nished by Billy Allen, who ' played a piano solo, and Lloyd , Carlson, who played a trumpet solo. The FHA Club gave a demonstration dem-onstration on "how not to conduct con-duct a meeting," and the FFA Club showed "how to conduct a meeting. They also presented a. debate on, "Should 18-Year Olds Be Allowed to Vote?" |
