Show two Wards Join In Jr. Gleaner Silver Comradery The Jr. Gleaner Silver Comradery Com-radery was held last Wednesday evening at the home of their leader, Mrs. Merle Ross. The Bridgeland Jr. Gleaners and their mother joined in the following fol-lowing program: Song, "Carry On;" prayer, by Norma Larsen; talk, Mrs. Ethel Taylor; piano solo, Carrol Taylor; talk, Mrs. Elsie Bird; explanation of the requirements to become a Silver Sil-ver Gleaner, by the following girls, Maxine Murphy, Mildred Bird, Joan Shepherd, Donna Ross and LaRene Myers. Donna Larsen is the president of the class and took charge. Mrs. Madeline Horrocks, stake Junior Gleaner leader, was also present and gave a very interesting inter-esting talk. Each girl and - lady present received a . beautiful rose corsage. Ice cream and cake were served ser-ved to the following mothers and daughters: Mrs. Merle Ross and Donna, Mrs. Grace Larsen and Vivian, Mrs. Melba Larsen, Norma and Donna, Mrs. Elsie Bird and Mildred, of Arcadia; Mrs. Delia Liddell and Mona Lee, Mrs. Viola Shepherd and Joan, Mrs. Edith Brady and Carrol Car-rol Ann, Letta Myers and Le-Rean, Le-Rean, Mrs. Ethel Taylor and Carrol, Mrs. Edythe Marrett and Mrs. Horrocks. The program Sunday evening was given by the Altamont Seminary. Sem-inary. Hyrum Capson, of Salt Lake City, spent a couple of days visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Capson, Sr. Mr. and Mrs Edsel Murphy and sons, of Wichita, Kansas, arrived during the week enroute to Salt Lake, where they will make their home. Mr. Murphy received his discharge March 1. Mrs. Rose Gilbert is caring for their children while the Mur-phys Mur-phys are in Salt Lake for a few days. |
