Show Legion Units Hold Joint Meetings The American Legion and Auxiliary held their regular meeting Saturday night in the Legion Home. After the separate sep-arate business sessions they joined together in a social, with refreshments being! served. The following members were present: Mr. and Mrs. Max All-red, All-red, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Field-sted, Field-sted, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Miller, Boneta; Mr. and Mrs. Ed Case, Mr. and Mrs. Ty Kolb, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Jones, Mr. and Mrs. Leon Dump. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. E. Clark, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Dunsmore, Mrs. Mary Carroll, Car-roll, and Clyde Lambert. I Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Dennie Ralphs. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Case, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. E. Clark, Mr. and Mrs. Drue Allred, Mr. and Mrs. George Fisher, Mr. and Mrs. Dick Clark, Mrs. Mary Carroll, Mrs. Vendetta Clark and Preston Allen. Al-len. Earl Dunsmore received medical med-ical care in Roosevelt recently for a pitchfork wound. Mr. and Mrs. Tex Rochel spent Monday visiting relatives in Lapoint. Out-of-town friends attending funeral services for Mrs. Mary Estelle Jacobson on Thursday were Mr. and Mrs. Lott Powell, Salt Lake City; Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Bowden, Gusher; Mr. ana Mrs. E. L. Murphy, Upalco; Mr. and Mrs. James Powell, Cedar-view; Cedar-view; Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Anderson, An-derson, Lela Miller, Lapoint; Mr. and Mrs. Earl Case, Mr. and Mrs. Irving Snow, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Ames. Mt. Emmons; Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Winkler, Bluebell; Mrs. Jacobson's sisters, sis-ters, Mrs. Rachel J. Petty, Salt Lake City, and Mrs. Maude Caldwell, Sacramento, Calif; Mrs. Gladys Jensen, and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Petty, Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. Bob Johansen and daughter, of Gooding, Ida., spent last week-end visiting Mr. Johansen's sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Dallas Ames. The Ames took them to Salt Lake City, where Mr. Johansen underwent an operation. Mrs. Lister Maxfield gave a birthday party recently in honor hon-or of the 8th anniversary of her son, Kent. Games and refreshments refresh-ments were enjoyed by the following fol-lowing guests; Norman Maxfield, Jill Reese, Roxie Berd, Lucille Joan Murray, Peggy Ralphs, Mary Ann and Jimmie Riley, Ray Fisher, Susan and Michael Fichel, Corlie Maxfield. Leslie Maxfield, Mrs. Nada Murray and Mrs. LaRue Fisher. George Carroll was re-elected a director of Class A for the Dry Gulch Irrigation Co., at a. meeting held in Roosevelt a week ago Tuesday. Lester Maxfield Max-field and Kelly Riley also attended at-tended the meeting. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Smith returned home Wednesday from a 7 weeks visit in China Lake. California. Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Ashby, of Vernal, visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Lester Maxfield-on Tuesday of last week. Mrs. Bennie Mitchel is working work-ing at the R.E.A. office in Alta-mont. Mr and Mrs. Louis Reese, Mrs Hez Ames and Mrs. Mary Carroll went to Salt Lake City, Tuesday. Mr and Mrs. Dave Carroll and son, of Tooele, spent the week-end in Altonah. Industrial chemists have developed de-veloped a scented bait said to make lobsters rush into traps. They are now working on a similar bait for fish.
