Show Gayle Case Gold-Green Ball Social Success The Mt. Emmons Ward M.I.A. held its Gold and Green Ball at the ward house Tuesday night. The affair attracted a good-sized good-sized crowd. Music was furnished furn-ished by the popular High School orchestra. Following a new plan this year, no Gold and Green Queen was selected. Ray Rogers, inducted into military mil-itary service in January, received re-ceived his assignment at Fort Lewis. Wash., and has been sent to Camp Roberts, Calif., for his basic Army training. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Case received re-ceived a cablegram, Tuesday, Feb. 5, from their son, Glenn, reporting re-porting his safe arrival in Tokyo, Japan. Glenn received his basic training at Fort Lewis Mrs. Bennie Mitchell, of Upal-co, Upal-co, is employed in the office of the Moon Lake Electric. Mrs. J. Edgar Holder, who spent last month in Hoystville with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Garth Sar-fent. Sar-fent. returned home early last week. She visited during the week with Mr. and Mrs. Harry Fieldsted, of Boneta, ,and Mr. and Mrs. Varney McLea, of Roosevelt, before reopening her home here in Mt. Emmons. Her small grandson, Bradley Sargent, Sar-gent, who is being treated in a Salt Lake hospital for encephalitis, encephal-itis, is showing some improvement, improve-ment, according to Mrs. Holder. |
