Show Gold-Green Ball Held On Feb. 14 A very successful Gold and Green Ball was held Tuesday, Feb. 14, when the Arcadia and Bridge-land Bridge-land MIA organizations presented the lovely affair. The theme was "Melody of Love." Decorations were in keeping with the Valentine Valen-tine theme. The following program preceded the floor show: a piano solo, by Marsha Lusty; vocal duet, "Memories," "Mem-ories," by Bertie Lisonbee' and Judy Shephard, accompanied by Hazel Walters; a piano solo, by Hazel Walters. The theme song, "Melody of Love," was sung by Naomi and Rulon Gilbert, accompanied accom-panied by Mrs. Walters. Dancers for the floor show were from both the Arcadia and Bridge-land Bridge-land wards. Bridgeland MIA officers of-ficers wish to express special thanks to Floyd Neilsen of the Myton ward and Richard Capson of the Arcadia ward for filling in for absent dancers for the floor show. Stake MIA officers attending were: Mr. and Mrs. Farrell. Humphreys, Hum-phreys, Glen Mitchell, Mr. Pendleton, Pendle-ton, Mr. and Mrs. Milton Poulson, Mr. and' Mrs. Art Taylor, Miss Renon Christensen, Don Mayhew, Mrs. Maxine Burdick and Miss Jean Wimmer. Sunday visitors at the Reed Stansfield home were Mr. and Mrs. Frank Westerguard and' family. fam-ily. Mrs. Christina Fitzgerald Mrs. Lois Stansfield, Mrs. Hazel Walters Wal-ters and Mrs. Elva Lisonbee attended at-tended a kitchen shower honoring Miss Lois Walters at the home of Dr. and Mrs. D, G. Mantyla at Roosevelt, Thursday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Elden Brady, Malcolm Mal-colm Walters, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Taylor attended a birthday party at Mt. Emmons, Thursday evening honoring Lyle Young. Mr. and Mrs. Mirl Jennings received re-ceived the happy tidings that they are grandparents to a new grandson. grand-son. The young man was born to Mr. and Mrs. DeVere Ostler of Salt Lake City', Feb. 19th. Mr. and Mrs. ' Malcolm Walteis, Miss Ruth Walters and Rulon Dean Skinner were Sunday ' dinner guests of Mr, and Mrs. Leland Wright at Utahn. Maxine Murphy and LaRene Meyer of Roosevelt spent the weekend with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earvin Murphy and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Meyer Bert Coleman of Heber City came in Saturday after his mother-in-law, Mrs. Chastia Neilsen, to take her with him and his wife to Nevada and California. They plan to be gone ten days, Fred Marchant and Elden Brady joined other members of the Quorum Quor-um of Seventy of the Duchesne stake on a Temple excursion to the Salt Lake LDS Temple Saturday. |
