Show To Give Program The Wasatch Gospel Team, of Wasatch Academy will conduct services at the Myton Presbyterian church Sunday, Feb. 26, at 11 a.m. Louise Gentry, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Gentry, of Ioka, and Joni Funk, daughter of Mrs. George Funk, are two of the members of the Gospel team. This group has always been popular, pop-ular, and their services extremely interesting, so it is expected their many friends will be on hand to enjoy their program A cordial invitation in-vitation to attend is extended to everyone. SUPPORTED TEAM A recreation social' provided support to the Myton M Men basketball bas-ketball team Tuesday evening. Pies and' cakes were sold to eager bidders bid-ders who came from all points in the district to enjoy a jolly evening eve-ning arid also to help raise funds to purchase new suits for the men who will compete in the tournament tourna-ment at Provo February 27. CUBS HOLD MEETING The' Myton Cub Scout Den held its regular meeting Monday afternoon after-noon at the home of its Den Mother, Mrs. Wilmer Murray. Plans were perfected for the "Gold and Blue Banquet" which will be held at the Myton LDS Ward ChapeL Saturday evening, February 25. This event will be under the direction of Pack No. 3253 and members of all Dens of this Pack will participate and present pre-sent a program. Cub Scouts and parents will attend' the banquet. The Myton Cubs will be directed by their Den Mother and Mr. Howard Roberts, who is aiding the boys with their skit. A practice prac-tice session was a portion of Monday's Mon-day's regular prder of business. At the close of the meeting refreshments re-freshments were served. SPEAK AT CHURCH Visitors at the Sacrament meet-in meet-in at the LDS Ward chapel Sunday Sun-day evening were Theron Leavitt of the High Council', Paul W. Kowalis and family of Roosevelt Barton and Dr. and Mrs. Calvin Mr. Leavitt. Mr. Barton and Dr. Kowallis addressed the audience, and Miss Laura Ann Leavitt favored favor-ed them with a piano solo. Mr. and Mrs. Antone Uresk and children left Sunday morning on a business trip to Salt Lake City. They anticipate visiting in Provo before returning, Mrs. Earl Gingell was rushed to the Roosevelt Hospital for medical med-ical attention Monday morning. At this writing she is slightly improved. im-proved. Ralph Halstead of Duchesne was transacting business in Myton Monday. Miss Alice Todd went to Vernal Monday on a business trip. A NEW GRANDDAUGHTER Mr. and Mrs. Wilmer received word Monday evening that their only daughter, Mrs. John W. Tucker of Boston, Mass., had presented' pre-sented' them with a granddaughter. Mr, Tucker is working toward his doctor's degree at Harvard University. Uni-versity. Other rejoicing grandparents grandpar-ents are Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Tucker of Mesa, Arizona. |
