Show Homework Survey Brings Forth Interesting Facts ALTAMONT (Special) Alta-mont Alta-mont High School has just completed' com-pleted' a "Homework Survey," which was conducted under the supervision and direction of Principal Prin-cipal Rondo Harmon and Don Ny-berg. Ny-berg. The survey was prompted by the fact that many students were not completing their homework home-work assignments with the? ex- cuse' that they lacked the necessary neces-sary time, or were given too much homework. However, many who usually were unprepared were seen in attendance at-tendance at every movie. As a result of this condition, the faculty decided' to make a survey and obtain the facts they needed to help them come to some conclusions, con-clusions, and to enable them to make recommendations regarding the homework problem. A questionnaire ques-tionnaire was formulated by Mr. Harmon and Mrs. Nyberg, which was taken into each home by the high school students. The results of the survey indicated indi-cated that 50 of the parents contacted con-tacted felt that their students were never overburdened with homework home-work and 30 wrote that only occasionally did they have too much. Fifty per cent felt that either frequently or occasionally their students did not have enough homework assigned them. Nearly 70 felt that home conditions were almost always suitable for the study of homework, and more than -60. thought the students were able to budget their time at home so they could have ample time to fill their school assign- ments.
