Show School Notes LONGHORN ROUND-UP The seventh gi-ade has been making some very 'interesting studies about . grains They have carried 'on experiments about brown and white rice and when studying wheat they even ev-en made bread. The eighth grade really knows about government. They : have studied the branches of government and how govern- ' ment is formed. , The students at Altamont High School and Elementary are having some very valuable experiences concerning construction con-struction work. We feel very fortunate that we are able to observe these things. The Junior High is planning a big Thanksgiving party and dance. The Junior High all had a good ire nt the Tinnksgivin party and dance. Ti;s is the second activity for the Junior High. Th'y have an organization organiza-tion of tueir own juift have many exciting things in mind for the coming year. Mrs. Hart- man's section of the seventh grade (furnished the refreshments refresh-ments and Peel's Peelers furnished fur-nished the music. Miss Muir was in Kanab attending at-tending a teachers' meeting on Thursday and Friday of last week. The majority of the students and people from Altamont and surrounding towns had their X-rays and blood tests when the unit was here on Friday, Nov. 19. Carl Young from Salt Lake, was a weekend visitor at his parents' home, Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Young. Mr. and Mrs. William Deve-ner Deve-ner and. family were dinner guests at the Jewel Kolb home Sunday. |
