Placed on a round mirror, the cake 7" topped with an arch in-;noed in-;noed with a gold '50' and Jving two white swans, rep- , resenting the honored couple. Four white swans were at the base of the cake symbolizing1 the Woodwards' four living children. Mary Yeager was born in Escallante Nov. 6, 1886, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Yeager of Jensen. She resided in Salem, until she was nine years of age, when her parents moved to Jensen in 1895. The trip was made by team and wagon. Here she received re-ceived her early schooling, and on Nov. 21, 1904, she and Charles Woodward were married. mar-ried. Charles Woodward was born Sept. 29. 1877 in Fountain Green, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Enoch Woodward. He remained there unitil he was 25 years old. In 1902 he and his family bought a ranch in Jensen. After his marriage to Mary Yeager in 1904, the couple mlotved to Cedarview, now khown as Montwel, where, they homesteaded 160 acres of land. In 1935 they moved to Roosevelt Roose-velt where they have since resided. re-sided. In addition to farming, Mr. Woodward has worked in the gilsoniite mines for ten years. The couple are both, members mem-bers of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Mrs. Woodward is active in the Relief Society and has been a visiting teacher for 33 years. Mr. Woodward is active in the Sunday School organization. They are the parents of six children, four of whom are still living: Mrs. Mable Murray, Altamont; Hrs. Iva Collotzi, Roosevelt; Charles Woodward, Jr., Maeser, Uintah County, and Mrs. Ida Davis, Myton. They have eleven grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. |
