Show Chest X-ray Unit Examines 2,088 In Trip To Area (Misplaced Last Week) The Chest X-ray mobile unit and blood tests survey was in Duchesne County Nov. 8, 9, 10, under the direction of the Utah State Department of Health, the U. S. Public Health Service and the Utah State Tuberculosis Ass'n. Those who took blood were Frank Pester of the Health Dept., Miss Fay Pope, Duchesne County nurse, and Mrs. Helen Allred of Roosevelt. Dr. A. A. Jenkins, director of Disease Preventive Service at the Health Dept., who was responsible re-sponsible for bringing this service ser-vice to the Basin, also came out and assisted with the blood testing in Duohesne and Myton on Monday. Those who helped were Mrs. Marie Pope. Duchesne; Du-chesne; Mrs. Lygta Rust, Talma Tal-ma ge; Mrs. Ilia Lewis, of Duchesne. Du-chesne. Byron Haislem was the techr niician who took the chest X-rays X-rays and the Jr. Culture Club were the hostesses and made records for the unit. Arch Clark, U. S. Public Health Service Ser-vice consultant, was also available avail-able on this program. Mrs. D. G. Maiiitayla,, Duchesne Du-chesne County tuberculosis chairman, said that the program pro-gram has been a real success in our county; 2086 people were examined in the three days. She wiishes to thank the ladies of the Jr. Culture Club for the long, cold hours they spent, the Uintah Power and Light Co. for office space, the Roosevelt Hotel and Roosevelt Grade School for the tables used. |
