Show Aflzfrtf THE SCOUT PATROLS ENJOY OUTING Members of the Flaming Arrow Ar-row and Black Hawk Guide Patrols, of the Roosevelt ward, held a hamburger fry on the banks of the Neola canal, Wednesday Wed-nesday afternoon, Sept. 23rd. The boys made hunter's fires and cooked their hamburgers in twos and threes. Twelve boys enjoyed en-joyed the outing. Those present were: Jon Larsen, Dillard Brod-erick, Brod-erick, Benny Riding, Duane McAllister, Mc-Allister, Bruce Mitchell, Ralph Stoneking, Dean McArthur, Steven Ste-ven Pitt, Michael McDonald, Raymond Edrington, Norman Birchell and Mac Robinson. Scout leaders, Dora Curry, and Guide leader, Zella Pike, accompanied the group. BLACK HAWK PATROL MEETS Members of the Black Hawk Guide Patrol of the Roosevelt ward, met at the patrol house last Thursday night. He also reported that plans had been made for the patrol to march in the annual Kids' Day parade. BLACK HAWK PATROL LEADS KIDS' DAY PARADE Members of the Roosevelt ward will be proud to know that the smart looking group of boys, who marched behind the police car and led the annual an-nual Kiwanis Kids' Day parade Saturday morning were members mem-bers of the Black Hawk Guide Patrol, of the Roosevelt ward. I The patrol carried the Ameri-! Ameri-! can flag as well as their patrol j flag. The patrol flag was of black taffeta with a black hawk's head painted on a gold j background. The boys wore white Trailbuilders shirts and Scout neckerchiefs and caps. Those marching were Bruce Mitchell, Duane McAllister, Steven Pitt, Dean McArthur, Ralph Stoneking, Benny Riding, and Mac Robinson. |
