Show SatlaM Ellen Bracken Stork Shower Invites Friends A stork shower was held at the home of Mrs. Boyd Winn, with Mrs. Winn as hostess, for Mrs. Bill Brislin on Friday afternoon. af-ternoon. The following ladies were present: Mrs. Turner, Mrs. Brislin's mother; Mrs. E. W. Turner, Mrs. Ercil Johnson. Mrs. Squire Mangum, Mrs. Calvin Squire, Mrs. Kay Arnold, Mrs. John Page, Mrs. Erna Stolla, Mrs. Earl Gardner, Mrs. George Bracken, and the guest and hostess. hos-tess. Games were played and dainty refreshments were enjoyed en-joyed by those present. Ensign Clark, son of Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Clark, former mem-of mem-of Ballard ward, has enrolled at the Union High school, and is staying at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Vaughn Simper. Mrs. Pearl Jenkins is visiting at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Garn Bodily, at Salt Lake City. Some of the 4th Quorum of Elders and partners enjoyed the party held at the church cabin in Uinta canyon Monday evening, eve-ning, Sept. 10 State Supt. Allen Bateman, of district schools, and Miss Jennie Campbell, of the state, visited at the Alterra school on Tuesday. Tues-day. Mrs. Clarence Betts returned some time ago from California, where she was called because of the serious condition of their son, Ralph, several weeks ago. When last heard from, Ralph was improving nicely; he has rheumatic fever. Mr. and Mrs. Aaron Beck-stead, Beck-stead, who live on Indian Bench, are the proud parents of a baby boy, this is their second child. Phyllis, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. T. Swisher, returned re-turned home from Jerome, Ida. this past week to enroll at school. Phyllis has been staying with her sister, Mrs. Lloyd Hills. |
