Show Legion Meeting Held On Friday The Wm. R. Sands Post and Unit No. 5 held their regular meetings at the Legion hall, Friday Fri-day evening. Commander Blaine Brokaw conducted the Legion session, while President Florence Lott was in charge of the Auxiliary Aux-iliary meeting, eports were given giv-en on the District No. 9 convention con-vention ot Coalville, and other business transacted. Plans were perfected for a social meeting, to be held Sept. 28th. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Moore, of Pueblo', Colo., visited in My-ton My-ton Thursday. Mr. Moore is a former Myton resident. He made his home here and on a ranch near Randlett until 1920. His father, Harry Moore, was at one time a justice of the peace in Myton. They enjoyed finding old land marks of the district and visiting local residents. B. L. Dart, of Price, spent a few days at the ranch home of his brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. O. A. Dart, and while here harvested crops on his ranch on North Myton bench. Mrs. George Philips arrived last week from New York City to visit her father, A. M. Todd; her sister, Miss Alice Todd, and her brother and sister-in-law. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Todd and family. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bertola and Mr. and Mrs. Reed Peterson Peter-son enjoyed a chicken dinner Sunday evening as guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Garland Reed. Canasta was the evenin&'s diversion. Virgil Wing was a guest at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Todd from Thursday till Monday. Mon-day. He has served as chief quarter master in the U. S. Navy for several years, with headquarters head-quarters at San Diego. Calif , and visited here enroute to his new post in Virginia. Seaman Wing made his home in the Uintah Basin in his early youth and enjoyed reviewing scenes of his childhood. On Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Todd and sons, Allen Al-len and Philip, and daughter, Miss Nancy Todd and their guest motored to Wolf Creek Pass, where they enjoyed a picnic amid the autumn tinted mountains moun-tains of that district. Miss Nina Babcock, who has been employed in Colorado during dur-ing the summer months, returned re-turned to Myton for a short visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lionel Babcock, before going to Logan to continue her studies at the U.S.A.C. Franklin Peterson and Russell Gingell, who are attending Snow college at Ephraim, came home Friday evening to spend the weekend with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ole Peterson, and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Gingell. Mr. and Mrs. Chris Goris and infant son, who were visitors at the home of Mrs. Goris' parents, Mr. and Mrs. Willard Smith, returned re-turned to their home at Bingham, Bing-ham, Friday. |
