Show Myton Girl Weds In California Mr. and Mrs. Lyman M. Par-rish, Par-rish, of Myton, received word recently of the marriage of their daughter, Maxine, to Otis Sanders, San-ders, of the U. S. Navy hospital staff at San Diego', California. The new Mrs. Sanders is also on the staff of a U. S. Naval hospital, stationed at Oceanside, California. Keith Lemon Wins Scholarship To Utah State College The announcement of Keith Lemon, Myton, as winner of a $150 4-H scholarship was made this week by Dr. Carl Frisch-knecht, Frisch-knecht, director of the Utah State Extension Service. The scholarship will be made available to Mr. Lemon this fall when he starts school. He is one of eight 4-H club members mem-bers in Utah who will receive this scholarship as an achievement achieve-ment gift from the Standard Oil Company of California. The Utah State Extension 4-H Advisory Committee divided the state into four districts. The outstanding out-standing 4-H boy and 4-H girl in each district was chosen by analysis of their projects and the quantity and quality of 4-H Club work done. The Standard Oil Company donated $1350 to support 4-H Club work in Utah. These eight scholarships will be supported by $1200 to these individuals. Dr. Frischknecht said the remaining re-maining $150 of the $1350 check would be used to help cover the expenses of one 4-H Club leader who Will attend the National 4-H Club Congress to be held in December, This program will mark the first attempt to sponsor a club leader at the National Conclave in Chicago. |
