Show t- Home Builder Girls Have Annual Party Wednesday was a gala day for the girls of the Primary when they entertained their mothers, grandmothers, grand-mothers, officers and teachers at their annual Home Builders party. The theme was "Independence Holiday." The group is composed of girls in the Bluebird and Seagull Sea-gull classes. Under the direction of their teachers, Mrs. Alma Winn and Mrs. Kenna Ross a program of entertainment was prepared. A clever portion was skits presented by groups of mothers and daughters, daugh-ters, who were given containers with instructions to use the con-tenstt con-tenstt to portray some foreign country- Much hi 1 a r i t y was brought forth by the ingenious use of these items when hula-hula girls, Spanish dancers and other foreign lands were brought forth. A floor show of "Paris Styles" was a highlight of the event when Mrs. Frank Tanner and Mrs. Ole Peterson appeared in their con-seption con-seption of the newest finery. The program closed with the girls singing sing-ing their "Home Builders Song." Refreshments were served. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Ponton and children came from Salt Lake Sunday to visit at the home of Mrs- Ponton's father, Lee Cooper, and her brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Cooper. When they returned home they were accompanied ac-companied by their daughter, Barbara Bar-bara Ponton and her friend, Janice Bennion, who have been guests at the H. C. Cooper home during the past two weeks. Elbert Stephens arrived Tuesday from Rifle, Colorado to visit at the home of his son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Stephens. Warren Odekirk Sr. of Salt Lake and John Odekirk of . Pasadena, Calif, were greeting old friends Wednesday afternoon. They spent a week at the ranch home of their brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Lawrence Odekirk. Other members of the family who were guests at the Odekirk ranch were Mrs. John Odekirk and son, David of Pasadena Calif.; Mr. and Mrs. Pack Odekirk of Los Angeles and Warren Odekirk Jr. and two children chil-dren of Salt Lake City. P. E. Church went to Kanab Saturday Sat-urday returning home Monday, bringing his wife who has been visiting members of the family. Mrs. W. E. Burton returned home Tuesday after a week visit in Midvale. Her daughter, Mrs. Bernard Blitz of Midvale and Mrs. Glen Kearney of Portland, Oregon brought her home and returned to Midvale that evening. Miss Fern Clark came home for the weekend to visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carlos Clark. Fern is attending the Hollywood Holly-wood Beauty College in Ogden. |
